PRE-TREATMENT QA

Before we can proceed with processing a seed order the following quality assurance checks must be made to ensure the best results for the treatment of a seed lot.

Seed must be able to be identified by:

  • crop
  • variety
  • lot number

The seed must be free from:

  • seed spoilage
  • seed contamination
  • rodent damage

Germination details must be provided:

  • germination must be a minimum of 85%
  • the result needs to be current, within the previous 12 months

Chemical treatment:

  • any prior chemical treatment must be clearly stated
  • no non-standard chemical treatment must have occurred

Seed Innovations™ will only notify customers in the event that the seed lot does not meet the pre-treatment quality specifications.

POST-TREATMENT QA

Before we can release a treated seed lot to the customer the following quality assurance checks must be made to ensure the best results will be obtained for sowing in the field.

  • Visual inspection
  • Germination analysis
  • Seed moisture
  • Seed count
  • Pellet analysis (hardness, doubles and empties)

Seed Innovations™ will only notify customers in the event that the seed lot does not meet the post-treatment quality specifications.
